Education Infographic
The Education Policy Research Initiative recently completed a research brief that analyzes the labour market outcomes of university graduates with bachelor’s degrees. The research uses a new dataset that links information on students from the University of Ottawa, to tax records held at Statistics Canada. Their goal is to use the findings to inform students, policy makers, employers, and the general public regarding Canadian education issues.
We worked with them to create an infograph that aims to provide an effective way of communicating the results of their findings to the target audience, in a condensed visual format. Infographs offer a simple and easy way to visualize relationships and statistics because humans absorb and retain visual information more effectively compared to reading. The infograph offers a summary of earning patterns based on three comparison categories: faculty, gender and boom bust periods.
